Bunaken National Park
Bunaken National Park is a marine park located in manado,
capital of North Sulawesi province, Indonesia. Bunaken at the journey by ship
can be quick or the submarine to travel about 30 minutes from pelabuhann city
of Manado. The Park is located in the Coral triangle, a habitat for 390 species
of coral and also various termubu species of fish, mollusk, reptile and mammal
sea. Bunaken National Park is representative of marine ecosystems, grasslands
Indonesia sea, termbu Reef and coastal ecosystems.
Bunaken Marine Park has a 20 point dive varies with depth
up to 1,344 metres. Of the 20 point dive, 12 point dive in between being around
Bunaken Island. Two point this is what most often dives visited dives and
underwater landscapes of beauty lovers.
Most of the 12 point dive in the Bunaken lined from
Southeast to northwest of the island. In this area there is a GREAT UNDERWATER
WALLS, also known as HANGING WALLS, or the walls of a giant coral vertical
stand and curved upwards. Coral wall is also a source of food for fish in the
waters around bunaken Island.
The National Park was established in 1991 and covers an
area of CA. 890.65 km2. 97% of this National Park is the habitat of the sea.
Includes five islands of Bunaken, Manado Tua:, Siladen and Mantehage, Nean.
Indonesia 2005 register of this National Park was placed under kedapa to UNESCO
World Heritage site.
